Scalp Love

Incorporate scalp love into your daily routines, whether it's during a break at work, while waiting at a traffic light, or simply taking a moment to appreciate yourselves. The scalp is considered sacred territory as it encases the brain.

Happy is the real pretty. This technique is called scalp love and as I was practicing it I was blown away by the instant feeling of pure euphoria that came over my whole body. Now I know that’s a bold statement but your scalp it’s almost like sacred territory as it’s encasing your brain.

So how you feel your attitude, your mood, in theory, many of that those thoughts originate in your mind. So learning how to make this whole area feel good is going to put you in a really good mood. Open up your senses and just make you feel fabulous.

So I like to call it scalp love rainbow over the ear. Why? Because the shape you’re going to make is the shape of a rainbow. So we all know what a rainbow looks like. It’s a big arc. You’re going to be using your jade roller or your fingertips.

You can even use your knuckles. So always remember if you don’t have this handy don’t worry you have your own built -in happy is the real pretty tools called your hands. So here we go. You could use the skinny end or the big end whatever feels good to you.

You don’t have to have a mirror but I’m going to use one right now. So I’m taking the roller on the side of my head and I’m just going to start working on my temple. Then I’m going to move above my ear and then I’m going to move that.

I can create this arcing shape up and over. Maybe I’ll experiment with using the smaller side. Get creative and continue to make the shape of the rainbow all over your whole scalp. You can start at the top.

You can work your way back. Go behind your ear. Get under your neck. Get creative. There are some magic buttons right around the top of your ear. If you happen to have two rollers you can do both sides at the same time.

Or if you’re extra lucky maybe somebody else could even do it for you. If you offer to do it to them first you’ll have a better chance of of that reciprocity. So when you don’t have fancy gadgets, what do you do then?

You use your hands because they are amazing healing tools that are always connected to your body. You could use one finger or you could get fancy and use your knuckle. This is actually called the Phoenix Eye.

You could also just use three or four fingers. Press in, make some circles. I’m actually moving the skin on the bone. And just like I did with the roller, the rainbow over the ear, I can work my way up making little circles.

When you feel the skin moving around on the bone, you know you’re creating movement in those different layers of tissue. There are actual muscles on the outside of your cranium, which is your skull. There’s thin sheath -like muscles, so they’re flat and very thin.

And they hold tension. I’m sure you’ve had a headache a few times in your life, so you know what that feels like. You can use this to treat headaches. You can also use it to prevent them. It will also help you with any issues related to the jaw.

And just like I mentioned, creating a more relaxed, happy, and even euphoric, meaning blissful state. Especially in this back area, I love that there’s all sorts of little secret spots back there if you explore.

You can even go under your ear. Always remember with this method, you’re your best teacher. Get creative. Weave it into your day. You don’t have to set aside an hour or 20 minutes, but just sitting at a red light.

Let go of the steering wheel for a moment. Give yourself a little love. Sitting at the computer at work. Take your hands off the keyboard. Give yourself a little love. Maybe do it for someone else and ask them to do it for you.
