Frontal Melt

It literally makes you feel so relaxed, your forehead becomes very smooth. And the original inspiration for this entire method came from my experiences working with monks in my martial arts days and I saw how smooth their forehead was.

Happy is the real pretty. This technique is called the frontal melt. There’s actually a type of massage in Ayurveda, which is the sister science to yoga, where they pour hot oil on your forehead. You’re on your back, so the oil drips this way and goes into your scalp.

It literally makes you feel so relaxed, your forehead becomes very smooth. And the original inspiration for this entire method came from my experiences working with monks in my martial arts days and I saw how smooth their forehead was.

It’s so interesting to think that you can live a long life and not end up with that grumpy engraved stress pattern in your face. So the phrase stress patterns is a simple phrase to help you understand what I mean by this, that.

We want to release those. Remember you always have your fingers or you can use your roller, get it out of the refrigerator or freezer. I always rub it with my hand once if it’s in the freezer just in case I don’t want it to get stuck to my forehead.

So you’re going to take it right here. I would suggest closing your eyes and just gently roll up and down. You can start to move to one side. Imagine you’re mowing a lawn and you don’t want to miss a spot.

So you’re going on a little zigzag, overlapping the edges. You can always cruise down into your temples, go off to the side near your ear, and then of course we would do the other side. Consciously relax the muscles that you’re rolling and create a relaxed feeling through the rest of your face.

Once you’ve done that a few times you can flip your roller over if you want to, but it doesn’t really matter. To figure out what works best for you you can roll this way. I like to get right in here because I do have a tendency to wrinkle up in that area.

Usually when the sun is shining in my eye or I play tennis and have to look across the court. So these things happen, life happens, it takes a toll on our face. Learning how to release it is fundamental to this method of discovering that natural relaxed happy state.
