Forehead Smoother

It's just more about learning to love yourself. So make sure when you practice this method that you have a positive attitude. Even take a deep breath and say something like I am bootiful. I love sculptures of the Buddha because they always have a smooth angelic forehead.

Happy is the real pretty. This technique is called the forehead smoother. We’ve all seen people who have that tendency to wrinkle up even when they’re just telling an everyday story.

I know I do it. And we’re not here to obsess and say, oh look at these wrinkles, I’m flawed. It’s just more about learning to love yourself.

So make sure when you practice this method that you have a positive attitude. Even take a deep breath and say something like, I am Buddhaful. I love sculptures of the Buddha because they always have a smooth angelic forehead.

And the sculptures of the Buddha also have the third eye. So this can sound a little weird, a little esoteric, but in the science of yoga, one of your seven major emotional centers, which are called chakras, is your third eye center. It’s actually the sixth of your seven chakras.

Now this center is also where your pituitary gland is. Your pituitary gland is the master gland of your endocrine system, which means it tells all of your other glands what to do. So it’s a nice idea to relax that area.

It’s obviously behind the bone, but the muscles around it can represent squinting if the sun is in your eyes, or anger, frustration, confusion. So just learning how to relax that area creates a soft, relaxed feeling through your whole body. So here we go.

You’ve got choices. You can use the peace fingers here. Once again, we’re preventing this, and we’re preventing this.

So we’re holding here. And in this move, I’m pulling down gently because I’m actually going to be lifting my eyebrows. Now your second choice for finger placement is like this.

You make a little arc, the shape of your eyebrow. I actually prefer this one. So you pull down, make contact, make sure your shoulders are relaxed.

I always do this first. It might look a little silly. Just to relax the jaw.

We hold unnecessary tension here. So I’m pulling down. Like every other move in this method, you’re going to do 20 repetitions and then hold for 30 seconds.

So I’m going to demonstrate 10. Here we go. I’m turning to look in the mirror.

I’m pulling down on my eyebrow. I’m taking a deep breath. I’m relaxing my jaw.

And I’m going to shrug my eyebrows up. And now I’m going to hold. So when you do this by yourself, go for 20 reps up and then hold for 30 seconds.

As I mentioned, if I did all of that, the video would get a little boring. So when you practice by yourself, you will not even need this video after a short amount of time. Here’s the good news.

Your face isn’t all that big. So once you learn how to spot tone and contract and relax your face, all of it will come together. And every morning when you wake up, you’re going to feel more beautiful, more naturally pretty because you’ll feel happier.

All of these practices are an act of self-love. We’re not obsessing over the negative, but we’re trying to help bring the positive out, not only in our face, but in our overall attitude.
