Chin-ups

So we all know that lifting weights really does work. And when you work your face with resistance training, you actually stimulate the health and strength of your muscles, and they plump up and come to the surface.

Happy is the real pretty. This technique is called chin -ups. I like that name just because it reminds me of chin -ups in the gym. And just as a reminder to you, you have muscles from the neck up that work and function just like the muscles from the neck down.

So we all know that lifting weights really does work. And when you work your face with resistance training, you actually stimulate the health and strength of your muscles, and they plump up and come to the surface.

Along with the strengthening component, in this kit and this method, you have to also increase circulation and flushing of the fluids that tend to pool in the face. So this technique chin -ups, even though it’s named after an exercise, it’s actually about moving from the chin up.

So I like to call it creating an upward flush. You’re gonna take your roller, either end. The mirror is useful at first, but once you get practicing regularly, you’ll realize that you can just lay in bed, you know, half asleep in the evening right before you go to bed and just put this on the bedside table.

Or you can do it in the morning. You don’t have to have a mirror. I’m gonna use one anyway. So I’m taking the roller, I’m putting it here, and I’m moving from the chin up. I’m going up into my cheeks.

I’m going under here, and I’m going here. I can use either end. So understanding something called your thoracic duct is very useful when you’re doing this lymphatic drainage. Drainage is just a fancy way to say drainage, and lymph is the fluid that moves through your body from one lymph node to the other.

What we want to create is an upward movement and then a downward flush towards the throat, which is where the thoracic duct is. So when you’re doing your chin -ups, you can go from your chin to your ear, your chin to your ear.

your eye, your chin to your nose and you’re creating that movement of the circulation and blood and lymph fluid that when left unattended to creates that puffiness and that swelling. We all know what it’s like to have a little too much to eat, maybe a little too much to drink, stay up late, you wake up in the morning with that swollen look.

Using your jade roller, creating that upward flush from your chin up is going to help the natural flushing so that your face looks smoother, you feel more relaxed and it also just feels great. You’re massaging the facial muscles, releasing any unnecessary tension that may have accumulated from everyday life.
