Hi, I’m Yogi Kay and this section of video is called hip knee foot. I get so excited about the relationship of our foot to the hip to the spine that it’s hard to even sit still. But I just need to explain to you all the variety that will be in this section.
Basically our hip is like the huge intersection of our leg to the rest of our skeleton. And every time we take a step, our foot is like a little explorer pulling us into the future. How we walk, gait, G -A -I -T, is fundamental to how our body absorbs shock throughout the day.
When you improve the health of your feet and your hips, your knee, which is a hinge that really wants to be in good alignment and does not want to break down, the knee will improve. I always tell my regular students and friends that if you have knee issues, work on the alignment of your standing poses, even standing in line with the grocery store, because it’s those moments that really add up in the course of your lifetime.
