Yogi Kait: Happy Is the New Pretty
Welcome to Happy is the Real Pretty. The original purpose of this project, for me personally, was to help women men learn to love themselves. Learning to see the good when you look in the mirror is an art and a science.
Yogi Kait: Bonus — Pencil
Happy is the real pretty. This is a little added bonus for you. So I’m going to take this pencil and I’m going to put it here and hold it. When I first tried this, I couldn’t do it. Just like the first time I tried to curl 20 pounds, I couldn’t do it.
Yogi Kait: Cheek Pump
This one is called cheek pump. So I’m not suggesting we’re trying to pump our cheeks out this way, but just pump up a muscle.
It’s called the buccinator or bucinator, still not quite sure how to pronounce it, and I just like the way that sounds. It’s the muscle that contracts when you smile.
Yogi Kait: Chin-ups
So we all know that lifting weights really does work. And when you work your face with resistance training, you actually stimulate the health and strength of your muscles, and they plump up and come to the surface.
Yogi Kait: Forehead Smoother
It’s just more about learning to love yourself. So make sure when you practice this method that you have a positive attitude. Even take a deep breath and say something like I am bootiful. I love sculptures of the Buddha because they always have a smooth angelic forehead.
Yogi Kait: Frontal Melt
It literally makes you feel so relaxed, your forehead becomes very smooth. And the original inspiration for this entire method came from my experiences working with monks in my martial arts days and I saw how smooth their forehead was.
Yogi Kait: Jade Hearts
And I can also roll the edge right on my actual muscles, on the back of my head, over my ear. You can get really creative and all sorts of areas. There are so many different layers of muscle in your face.
Yogi Kait: Inversion
Not only are you going to get traction in your neck, which will help you have a nice firm, strong neck to keep your head back over your spine, it’s also going to help reverse the effects of gravity through your whole face.
Yogi Kait: Mouth Extremes
It’s meant to be silly and the purpose is to reactivate and awaken your mouth. So it’s called mouth extremes. And you wanna think about east, west, north and south, it doesn’t really matter which ways which just getting to know yourself.
Yogi Kait: Life Can Change
Now, your life is different, but think about the time and energy that you put into combing your hair, you know, buttoning your shirt properly, putting yourself together. Well, then there’s that self-talk, and this is a really deep subject. These are the words you say to yourself that no one else can hear.
